Synopsis:

Savannah Colbert has never known why she's so hated by the kids of the Clann. Nor can she deny her instinct to get close to Clann golden boy Tristan Coleman. Especially when she recovers from a strange illness and the attraction becomes nearly irresistible. It's as if he's a magnet, pulling her gaze, her thoughts, even her dreams. Her family has warned her to have nothing to do with him, or any members of the Clann. But when Tristan is suddenly everywhere she goes, Savannah fears she's destined to fail.

For years, Tristan has been forbidden to even speak to Savannah Colbert. Then Savannah disappears from school for a week and comes back…different, and suddenly he can't stay away. Boys seem intoxicated just from looking at her. His own family becomes stricter than ever. And Tristan has to fight his own urge to protect her, to be near her no matter the consequences….

My rating: ★★★★★

Magic, witches, and vampires... oh my!

The town where Savannah lives was founded by families collectively known as The Clann. Some towns people think that The Clann aren't just families that founded their town, that there's something more....magical to them. That The Clann is made up of witches. Savannah doesn't think much of these rumors, they are just rumors, after all. But Savannah's gotta admit, she doesn't understand The Clann. For starters, when Savannah was just a kid, she was friends with some of the kids from The Clann. Then one day, out of the clear blue sky, the parents of those kids told their children to stay away from Savannah. Why? Savannah has no clue. But, the truth is, Savannah has always had this inexplicable pull toward one of the Clann kids, Tristan. What she doesn't know is that this attraction is mutual. And after Savannah recovers from a terrible case of the flu, this pull toward Tristan only intensifies. And to top it off, she seems to be developing rather odd abilities. Turns out, she may not be completely human...

I seriously loved this book, though I gotta admit, it was pretty darn long! But I couldn't stop reading! I think I may have finished it in only two sittings! One of the main reason why I loved this book, aside from the plot itself, was the magic! I am a HUGE fan of anything magical! I'm pretty sure I've mentioned it before, but I'll mention it again: if I were to be a supernatural creature, I would definitely be a witch! I'd totally love to do magic...that would be pretty cool :)

Anyway, I thought Savannah was a pretty interesting character. But I felt really bad because she and Tristan couldn't be together *sigh* Oh those starcrossed lovers. Which reminds me, I loved the dual points of view! I really liked knowing what both Savannah and Tristan were thinking...about each other, especially ;)

The ending...I'm not sure what the heck went on...no, I do. I just don't understand where Tristan and Savannah stand, relationship wise. It was kinda sad, but overall, I thought Crave was a fangtastic (*wink wink*) read and I cannot wait for book two!

Have you read this book? If so, what did you think about it? If not, what do you think? Does it sound like something you might want to read? Leave me a comment! :)
