Synopsis:

The South Channel lighthouse is a crumbling antique at the mouth of the Savannah River, abandoned and forgotten for generations. Local stories still tell of a mysterious woman in white who often stood at the old lighthouse, watching the sailors come into port...even long after she died.

Now the property by the lighthouse is owned by a famous movie star in search of a remote beach getaway on sleepy Tybee Island. Unfortunately, old ghosts haunt her new retreat, stirred up by the construction of a luxurious new mansion. Ellie, Stacey, and their team must remove the ghosts, who grow more dangerous and aggressive every night, threatening the lives of the client and her family and personal staff.

The lighthouse has a dark history, with many ghosts, and mysteries to unravel before Ellie can send them on to the other side.

My rating: ★★★★☆

In this installment of the series, Ellie and the team have taken a case at a lighthouse. A huge movie star just moved in after having built a mansion on the property, and things started to go bump in the night. Aside from the case, Ellie is still looking for Anton after what he did to Michael, and there is also a creepy magician ghost stalking a theater that Ellie, Stacey, and Jacob are looking to take care of.

“All righty. I’ll text Jacob about it, ask him if he minds helping us catch a serial-killer magician ghost tomorrow. If he’s not too busy.” -Stacey

Oh, and not to mention that they are still dealing with Paranormal Solutions Inc. moving in *sigh* PSI are just the worst! I kind of resented Calvin for selling the company to them, but I also understand why he did it. Really, I do. But that doesn’t mean I have to like it. I just hope things will get better for Stacey and Ellie.

Calvin sighed and looked out a dusty square window from which the curtains had been removed. The huge black PSI van sat out in the parking lot below.
“What have I done to us?”

Ellie just can’t catch a break, especially now that things with Michael have only gotten more complicated. It’s just so sad to see how things turned out. I thought he would’ve understood! Is this it for them? I wonder if we’ll get to see more of this relationship because it’s just incredibly unfair how things ended up for Ellie.

sad

And I just love Ellie! Not only because I find her so relatable...

“Millennials,” I muttered, shaking my head. “Zero social skills.”
“Aren’t we millennials?” Stacey asked.
“I’m including myself.”

Same, Ellie, same. But she is such a strong character! I really admire her, especially after everything Kara has done to her. You go Ellie! Speaking of Kara... ugh! I can’t stand her! Not only because she is a soul sucking monster (literally), but she doesn’t even care about the clients! It’s all about the $$$ for PSI. It’s so frustrating!

Back to characters I love because just thinking about Kara pisses me off. Jacob, love him! Him and Stacey are so cute together! And the one team member of PSI that I actually like: Hayden! I love him! He is so funny!

We ribbed him—almost by habit at this point— but Hayden was hardly the worst of the people from the PSI takeover of our agency. He was, I almost had to admit, the best of them. -Ellie
“I need Stacey’s help with something during our lunch break.”
“I’m good at helping!” Hayden said.
“It’s girl stuff,” I added.
“I’m good with girl stuff, bro! My wrestling coach always told me I was the most girly boy he ever met,” Hayden said.
“Okay, ladies,” Hayden greeted us...
“We have names, you know,” Stacey said.
“Okay, Ellster, Staceynator—” he began.
“Let’s go back to ‘ladies,’” Stacey quickly interrupted.
Stacey looked at Hayden. “I don’t mind working with you too much, you know that? Even if you do look like David Duchovny.”
“I look like David Hasselhoff,” he said, annoyed.
“He admitted it!” Stacey jumped up and down, pointing at him. “Did everyone hear that?”

so funny

Overall, I loved The Keeper, no surprise there since I absolutely adore this series! This was just a crazy roller coaster of emotions with Michael, PSI and Kara... then that ending. I am actually excited to find out what is in store next for Ellie and and Stacey!

“ me too Jensen!!
the way Jensen talks is my new sexuality XD
”

Like the lighthouse keepers of old, I bore the responsibility of keeping the light shining into the darkness, creating a patch of safety in a world of danger, standing on the shoreline between life and death, doing everything in my power to make sure that the darkness never won. - Ellie
